Nowadays there are many methods of heating houses and apartments. One of them is the use of infrared heaters, which are described as a convenient, ecological and safe for health way to achieve the right temperature in interiors. So what exactly are infrared heaters and how do they work?

How do infrared heaters work?

Infrared heaters are devices which transform electric energy into infrared radiation generating heat. They are most often used in rooms of great height, where mounted under the ceiling, they force the heat to flow downwards

The simplest radiators operate on the basis of an electric heater which heats up to several hundred degrees Celsius. Thanks to this, their surface emits a heat carrier in the form of infrared waves which are safe for humans and animals

Infrared heater models

Infrared heaters can be divided into two categories. The first is the material from which they are made. Accordingly, there are metal radiant heaters, ceramic radiant heaters, radiant heat panels or incandescent heaters. Depending on how they are powered, there are gas, electric and water radiators
